Products Include Circular Power, Data and RF Connectors and Antennas
IRVINE, Calif. − L-com, an Infinite Electronics brand and a supplier of wired and wireless connectivity products, has recently added a variety of Bulgin circular connectorsto its inventory. They include circular power, data and RF connectors and antennas. Bulgin is a renowned manufacturer of environmentally sealed waterproof electronic components.
These robust connectors are designed for use outdoors where harsh environmental conditions prevail. They feature environmental ratings of IP66 and IP68 to prevent ingress of dirt, dust and water. Some are rated IP69K for use in food processing. In addition, solid, locking connectors are employed to prevent accidental disconnects. Such features make them useful in applications such as industrial automation, manufacturing, marine/wastewater, transportation, medical and food processing.
L-com is now offering four main product lines of Bulgin Buccaneer circular connectors.
400 Series Power and Data Connectors and Antennas
The 400 Series power and data connectors come in either inline or front/rear panel-mount designs. The power connectors have seven pin-count options from 2 to 12 contacts, and handle from 50 to 250 volts and 1 to 8 amps. The USB data connectors are offered in A to mini-B, mini-B to five-way header and mini-AB to six-way crimp. The antennas are omnidirectional and sealed with IP68 and IP69K ratings, and they cover various frequency ranges from 440 MHz up to 2.5 GHz. Other related products in the series include sealing caps, cable glands, pins, sockets and tools for termination and assembly.
900 Series Power Connectors
The 900 Series power connectors bring high power handling to harsh environments. They are offered in inline, panel-mount or flange-mount. There are versions for several types of AC services, with maximums of 250, 430 or 600 volts and options of 10 or 32 amps. There are six pin-count options, from 2 to 10 contacts. For durability, some connectors are flexible or have strain-relief clamps, and some feature a positive, fast-acting locking ring that can be turned with a gloved hand. The product line includes sealing caps and cable glands.
6000 Series Power and Data Connectors
The 6000 Series power and data connectors are inline or panel-mount designs. The power connectors feature a quick but secure push/pull coupling mechanism that locks and releases with a 30-degree twist. Polarization and visual alignment features aid the correct mating of connectors. There are pin-count options for 2 to 22 contacts, and power handling is up to 16 amps and 277 volts. The USB connectors offer USB 2.0 performance, low-speed and high-speed bus connections of 1.5 to 480 Mbps, and an alignment indicator that prevents damage during mating. The Ethernet connectors have a Cat 5e shielded coupler and are chemical resistant and flame retardant.
Standard Series Power and Data Connectors
Finally, L-com offers a wide assortment of Standard Series power and data connectors in inline, panel-mount or flange-mount. The power connectors range from 50 to 277 volts and from 1 to 12 amps and have eight pin-count options from 2 to 25 contacts. The data connectors are Ethernet or USB Type A or Type B. Sealing caps and cable glands are included in the product line.
