Highest quality firewire cables allow for transfer rates up to 400 Mbps and meet the IEEE-1394 specification. These cables allow for simple "plug & play" connections for devices such as printers, scanners, digital cameras and other firewire peripherals. They can also be used to link two computers together for file sharing. Twisted pair data lines help reduce crosstalk while 22 AWG power conductors enable maximum power transfer from host to peripheral.
