Icron's USB Ranger® 2311 USB extender product represents yet another alternative that also enables USB 2.0 connections at up to 480 Mbps over 100m/330ft of Solid Conductor Cat 5e (or better) cabling. The 2311 USB extender is designed with flexible power allowing you to provide power from the LEX side as well as the REX side for those who require up to 1 amp of power at the REX unit but do not have an electrical outlet available at that location. The 2311 USB extender supports a single device port. The system delivers power to the REX unit over the Solid Conductor Cat5 (or better) extension link simplifying certain installation situations in industrial, medical and commercial applications. The Ranger 2311 USB extender is FCC/CE Class B certified and meets EN-61000 8kV ESD immunity. Supported platforms include: Windows, MAC OS, Linux UK, Japanese, European and Australian power versions available. 2311 has the mounting holes integrated into the housing.
