Weatherproof 10/100 Base-T CAT5e Lightning Surge Protector - Screw Terminals

The Hyperlink AL-CAT5EW Lightning Protector provides superior lightning and surge protection with improved frequency response for both indoor and outdoor 10/100 Base-T networks. The unit meets or exceeds CAT5e performance for the two data pairs. The design uses high frequency transmission line layout techniques to maintain an optimum 100 ohms balanced impedance in the signal path. These techniques and the use of Ultra-Low Capacitance Protection Arrays provide superior high frequency response and improved return loss for the data pairs. In addition, the unit is compatible with 802.3af Power-over-Ethernet (PoE) devices. Integral to the design is protection for the two Ethernet data pairs and the PoE DC power feed. This unit supports normal and reverse polarity PoE.

Features of this unit include a weatherproof ABS enclosure with gasketed cover and concealed mounting holes. Removable Terminal Strips are provided on the input and output for convenience. To ease installation, the terminal strips can be removed.

This lightning surge protector is compatible with Cisco legacy network appliance products like Access Points, DC Injectors and other equipment supporting reverse polarity PoE pinouts.

For mounting to masts up to 2 inches in diameter, the HGX-PMT25 mast mounting kit is available (sold separately).
