The HGLN-DC-12 series lightning protector provides superior protection of 12 VDC power feeds from transients and surges. It is designed to protect a single line from differential and common mode surge events.

Comprised of a 3 terminal gas discharge tube and a TVS diode, the gas tube provides both differential and common mode protection. The fast TVS diode provides differential mode protection for equipment.

The HGLN-DC-12 includes a ground lug provided directly on the lightning protector housing providing superior grounding. For more complete surge protection of data lines, the use of two units is recommended, one at each end of the line.

The cast aluminum housing includes integral mounting feet for ease of installation.
