L-com's Multimode fiber A/B Network Switches are physical layer hardware solutions which support a variety of switching, or access and control applications all in a compact desktop enclosure. These fiber optic switch boxes feature a unique relay technology that supports the switching mechanism. Non-latching or latching relay configurations are available. The non-latching units provide automatic fail-over to the default Port A to C connection state when power fails or is removed. Latching versions provide the benefit of maintaining the flow of data between the connected devices even when power is removed. Note: The Ethernet models may be controlled via telnet, web browser or SNMP. Ships with a universal 12V DC power supply with four different style country plugs. Custom configurations are available.

Features
  • Available with latching versions that enable the device to remain connected even when power is removed from the switch, or with non-latching versions for use in fail-over applications
  • Used to share a common network device between multiple network resources
  • Supports all wavelengths from 800nm to 1600nm
  • Supports data rates in excess of 10Gbps
  • Switching control via front panel push button, dry relay contact, serial control or an Ethernet connection
