The PS4860GB-POE is a Gigabit Power-over-Ethernet (PoE) Injector/Midspan with integral power supply. It provides 48VDC @ 60W of PoE power for multiple* PoE-equipped devices by "Injecting" DC power through the CAT5/6 Ethernet cable. It is compatible with Access Points and other equipment supporting the IEEE standard PoE pinout (Pins 4 & 5 Power + / Pins 7 & 8 Power -) and the 48VDC power requirement.
*The total number of devices that can be powered will depend on the power requirements of each device used.
Since the PS4860GB-POE is completely self-contained, a separate power supply and injector is not required. Its compact size makes it ideal for crowded equipment enclosures or for use on a desk top.
The PS4860GB-POE features built in over voltage, over current and short circuit protection. If an overload is detected, the power shuts down automatically; when the overload is cleared, the power is restored.
