The PS4834GB-POE-2 is a 2-port Gigabit Power-Over-Ethernet (PoE) injector/midspan with integral 48VDC power supply. This unit provides 48VDC @ 33.5W of PoE power to each of its two ports. It can be used to power multiple* PoE-equipped devices by "Injecting" DC power through the CAT5/6 Ethernet cable. The PS4834GB-POE-2 is fully IEEE 802.3af/at compatible and ideal for use with access points and other equipment supporting the standard PoE pinout (Pins 4 & 5 Power + and Pins 7 & 8 Power -) and the 48VDC power requirement.
*The total number of devises that can be powered will depend on the power requirements of each device used.
Expandable Wall or Desk Top Mount Design
Since the PS4834GB-POE-2 is completely self-contained, a separate power and injector is not required. Keyhole slots provided on the rear of the unit allow it to be wall mounted. Slide and groove tracks on the side of the enclosure allow multiple units to be fastened together. Included with the PS4834GB-POE-2 is a 1.2m long AC power cord.
Built in protection circuits
The PS4834GB-POE-2 features built in over voltage, over current and short circuit protection. IF an overload is detected, the power shut down automatically; when the overload is cleared, the power is restored.
