The box is a rugged weatherproof enclosure that is ideal for both indoor and outdoor applications. Constructed from molded fiberglass reinforced polyester, it is well suited for high temperature or corrosive environments. The integrated mounting flange allows it to be mounted directly to any flat wall surface provided proper screws are used into secure studs. The enclosure can be also be mounted to a wide diameter range of poles with one of our optional pole mounting hardware kits. The raised lid features a stainless steel continuous hinge and stainless steel quick release latches with padlock hasps. Includes fully gasketed vented lid with filters & integral mounting flange. The enclosure material is UV stabilized and comes in machine tool gray. Mounting Plate The aluminum mounting plate included with the NB141207-40FSAF features an 802.3af compatible PoE interface to power the thermostatically controlled cooling fan. The fan can be powered by the majority of 802.3af compliant switches, midspans or injectors operating in Mode A or B with normal or inverted polarity. The caveat is the fan requires its own PoE interface, usually from a spare port on the switch or midspan. At least two ethernet cables must be pulled to the enclosure, one to power the fan, and one or more for the equipment. This eliminates the need for a separate PoE injector as required by other of our PoE enclosures. The enclosure also features holes for two N-Bulkhead lightning protectors or connectors, a grounding lug, and a cable conduit connector. Cooling To help ensure trouble-free operation of electronic equipment, proper operating temperatures inside an enclosure need to be controlled. With the built-in cooling fan, internal temperatures can be better maintained. This model is ideal in hot environments. The fans are controlled by an integral high current solid state AC relay. The relay features Zero Cross Detection for EMI reduction. For cooling the NB141207-40FSAF model includes our exclusive solid state temperature controller connected to a 5.3W fan. The high airflow, low noise fan used allows warm air to be actively pushed out the top vent while the lower vent passively pulls in outside air into the enclosure. Filters for both ports prevent foreign objects or debris from entering the enclosure. The controller features improved temperature set point accuracy. The fan turns on when the internal temperature rises to 90° F (32° C) ±5° and turns off at 81° F (27° C) ±5°. No extra room for the controller is required since it is mounted underneath the plate. The HGX-PMT series of pole mounting kits allow the populated enclosure to be securely mounted to a variety of different size poles. Compatible versions include HGX-PMT13, HGX-PMT16, HGX-PMT28, HGX-PMT29, HGX-PMT30 & HGX-PMT33
