The box is a rugged weatherproof enclosure that is ideal for both indoor and outdoor applications. Constructed from molded fiberglass reinforced polyester, it is well suited for high temperature or corrosive environments. The integrated mounting flange allows it to be mounted directly to any flat wall surface provided proper screws are used into secure studs. The enclosure can also be mounted to a wide diameter range of poles with one of our optional pole mounting hardware kits. The lid features a stainless steel continuous hinge and stainless steel quick release latches with padlock hasps. Includes fully gasketed vented lid with filters & integral mounting flange. The enclosure material is UV stabilized and comes in machine tool gray. Mounting Plate The modified aluminum mounting plate included with the NB141207-1HFA2 features standard surge protected duplex 120 VAC outlets and a terminal block for easy hook up to the externally provided line power. The enclosure also features holes for two N-Bulkhead lightning protectors or connectors, a grounding lug, and a cable conduit connector. Heating & Cooling To help ensure trouble-free operation of electronic equipment, proper operating temperatures inside an enclosure needs to be controlled. With the built-in heater and cooling fan, internal temperatures can be better maintained. This model is ideal in hot and/or cold environments. For heating, the NB141207-1HFA2 includes a thermostat-controlled 200W heater. The heater does not require the use of any of the AC outlets, leaving them all available for your equipment. No extra room for the heater is required since it is mounted underneath the plate. For cooling, the NB141207-1HFA2 model includes a thermostat-controlled 16.4W fan. The high airflow, low noise fan used allows warm air to be actively pushed out the top vent while the lower vent passively pulls in outside air into the enclosure. Filters for both ports prevent foreign objects or debris from entering the enclosure. Like the heater, the cooling fan does not require the use of any of the AC outlets, leaving them all available for your equipment. User Adjustable Thermostat The 1HFA2 series features two separate thermostats, allowing the independent control of heating and cooling. The adjustable thermostat provides a temperature range of +14°F to +122°F for the heating and +68°F to +176°F for the cooling systems, with a switching difference of 12°F ±7°F tolerance. The heat thermostat features a Normally Closed (NC) circuit. When the temperature rises to the temperature set on the heat adjustment dial the circuit opens which turns off the heaters. When the temperature falls below the temperature set on the heat adjustment dial the circuit closes which turns on the heaters. The cooling thermostat features a Normally Open (NO) circuit. When the temperature rises to the temperature set on the cooling adjustment dial the circuit closes which turns on the cooling fans. When the temperature falls below the temperature set on the cooling adjustment dial the circuit opens which turns off the cooling fans. < WARNING > Recommended Temperature Setting for the Heater should only be between 14º to 40ºF Recommended Temperature Setting for the Fan should only be between 80º to 120ºF Setting the Heater too high and the Fan too low can result in a conflict wherein the unit might try to continue to heat while simultaneously trying to cool it.
