L-com's FOC-4513PFS22BL plastic optical fiber connector features a simplex latching mechanism, with a blue connector body. The connector is designed to be compatible with Versatile Link transmitters and receivers. The connector is intended for use with 1mm plastic optical fiber (POF) with a 2.2mm jacket. It is designed for applications requiring a greater retention force — 80 Newtons ( 18 lb.) — than provided by simplex nonlatching connector types.
