Internet of Things - IoT Pressure & Differential Sensors + Level Transmitters

At L-com, we are a global leader of wired and wireless connectivity products, offering a wide range of solutions across many key industries, including electronics, medical, industrial automation, military, and telecom.

In today's digital age, where devices need to send data to a cloud and then return it to the end-user, there is a network of physical objects connected to the Internet that enable this seamless interaction – the Internet of Things (IoT). And helping support IoT applications is L-com, with its robust line-up of pressure sensors, pressure transmitters, differential pressure sensors, and level transmitters.

Our highly stable and reliable piezoresistive pressure sensors offer wide temperature compensation and zero correction and are used in several industries, including utilities, oil and gas, manufacturing, mining, water and wastewater, factory automation, agriculture, and more. With their excellent range, accuracy, and ability to work in extreme environments, they supply years of trouble-free operation. Some of the key highlights of our sensors and transmitters include:

  • High accuracy at both low and high-pressure ranges
  • Isolated construction
  • Wide operating temperature rangeAnalog or digital output signals
  • Span and zero correction
  • RoHS / REACH compliant

Our IoT pressure sensors, including the PS781, 783, and 8808 series, are available in four commonly used types, including gauge, sealed gauge, differential, and absolute. The PS781 series of pressure sensors, for instance, is well suited for a variety of applications including gas and liquid pressure measurements, it features a highly stable silicon die in stainless steel, allowing for measured pressure to transform into an electrical signal.

Much like pressure sensors, our IoT differential pressure sensors, such as the PD790 series, also feature highly stable silicon die in stainless steel, allowing for measured pressure to transform into an electrical signal. These sensors work well across many applications, including gas and liquid differential pressure measurement for industrial process control, and venture and eddy-current flow meters.

To measure the pressure in liquid and gas, our range of IoT pressure transmitters, such as the PT989 and PT9503 series, use a pressure sensor as the sensing element. However, unlike pressure sensors, a pressure transmitter also supplies an output signal that is proportional to the measured pressure value on a standard electrical interface. The PT989 is lightweight and stable and widely used in metallurgy, mining, chemicals, water supply, and waste management.

Because the pressure in the liquid is highly proportional to the depth of the liquid, our IoT level transmitters, like the LT989W series, use pressure sensors as the sensing element. Our level transmitter, like the LT989W-100M105V1E22, is made of stainless steel. Compact in size, lightweight and stable, it is a highly stable, reliable, and fully sealed submersible level transmitter. It is used in metallurgy, mining, chemicals, water supply, and waste management.

At L-com, we are committed to developing and supporting solutions that fuel IoT applications to help your business reduce operational costs, increase revenue, and improve business efficiencies.
