I bought two parts from L-Com last week. Here is the part numbers:
TDC053-2 RJ45 CABLE
ECF504-8SK RJ45 Modular coupler
Our application has a 100-Base-T interface. Will the selected products work properly at 100MHz?
Or should I buy other products from L-Com rated Cat-5? If yes, can you suggest me products rated CAT-5?
Unfortunately the cable and coupler you purchased are category 3 rated. This means that these items are designed to reliably carry data up to 10 Mbits per second, with a bandwidth of up to 16MHz.
I would suggest that you purchase similar cat 5e products. The category 5e rating denotes that these items are designed to reliably carry data up to 100Mbits per second with a bandwidth of up to 100MHz.
Take a look at our 2006 Catalog pages
84-
85 for whichever panel mount cat5e coupler they prefer. They could also use a cat5e patch cord from page
70. He just needs to make sure that if he buys a shielded cable or coupler, he should buy second item in a shielded version.
