HBM, Somat durable D-Sub cable assembly

Problem

HBM, a leading provider of the Somat rugged mobile data acquisition hardware and software solution for field
and lab analysis, needed a more durable lower cost D-Subminiature cable assembly than the one they were using.

Solution

L-com’s engineering team designed several custom cable assemblies using molded backshells to replace
HBM’s existing assemblies. Not only did the cables solve HBM’s strain relief durability issues they also reduced their cost!
