North Andover, MA, May 5, 2005 -- L-com Connectivity Prooducts announces the addition of SMI terminated Plastic Optical Fiber (POF) patch cables to its fiber products portfolio. L-com’s Plastic Optical Fiber SMI to SMI Duplex patch cords are constructed of durable, oil, grease and alcohol resistant jackets and are available in multiple lengths. These assemblies feature the popular SMI style connector, which is being utilized in industrial data transmission, Local Area Networks, home networks and medical applications. These cables feature a 1.0mm Step Index PMMA plastic fiber and a 2.2mm jacket. L-com also provides custom length POF assemblies.
