In order to satisfy customer needs for the growing POF market, L-com now carries a versatile POF cable tester set from Advanced Fiber Solutions that is used to test loss in POF cables. The FTK51POF includes the OM110 power meter, which is designed for POF and short wavelength applications (visible and near infrared). The OM110 optimizes a Silicon detector suitable for large core fibers. It is the ideal tool for working with shorter wavelengths used with glass, plastic, or multimode fibers. Additionally, the FTK51POF features the OS417-MD source which houses a 665nm LED in a modular adaptor, which makes it adaptable to any connector style.
