HDMI® Evolution

By some measures, HDMI® (High-Definition Multimedia Interface) is the most successful interface of all time.

Developed by a consortium of Consumer Electronics manufacturers in the early part of this decade (the first HDMI® devices shipped in the fall of 2003), HDMI® has become the de facto standard for DTV, and within six years has grown to an installed base of nearly one billion devices.
