A signal splitter / signal combiner is defined as a transmission component which divides or sums power between two or more ports. L-com signal splitters / signal combiners are commonly used for connecting more than one antenna to a single radio. The following are some examples:

The first application requires wireless coverage on two sides of a building. By using a 2-way splitter, a single radio can be used to feed two separate antennas covering two sides of the building. The corner mounting bracket used in this design example is available for purchase.

Another common example is a single fed antenna array. These systems provide 360 degree coverage via two or more antennas and are fed by a single radio.
