Coaxial Crimping Tools
If you are going to be making a lot of coaxial cable assemblies, you'll need a coaxial crimping tool. These tools function much like pliers do, but in the jaws of the devices there is a "hex" shaped hole. Different coaxial connectors require different sized hexes to properly crimp them.
In addition to the crimper, you will also need a good stripping tool. This tool helps you strip the outer jacket without nicking the shielding. Some tools also help strip the dielectric without nicking the center conductor.

|When you are buying coaxial connectors, make sure to check |
the crimping dimensions with the manufacturer. At L-com, we usually put them on the engineering drawing, which you can freely download from our site. Once you know the crimping dimensions, make sure that you have or that you get a crimping tool with the correct sized hex die. Many crimping tools have the dies already permanently attached so you don't
|have to worry about losing extra pieces. But other crimp tools are more like frames for interchangeable dies, allowing you to use the same tool in multiple situations.|
L-com helps you make your coaxial cable assemblies easy by providing everything you need in one place! Check out our full line of coaxial tools including strippers, crimpers, and deluxe kits.
