In today’s fast changing video display market connector interfaces are evolving. For many years the 15 pin high density connector (HD15) was the standard. This is in the process of changing. The HD15 interface is an interface that can only be used for analog video signal. With the advent of digital video two new interfaces are becoming popular. The first is DVI (Digital Video Interface). The DVI interface is offered in multiple versions (DVI-I, DVI-A and DVI-D) as well as single link and dual link configurations. The table below illustrates the various DVI configurations allowing easy visual identification.
